The capital has been deserted since the morning

Staff Reporter, Agartala, 5 July : The capital has been deserted since the morning of Sunday’s one-day complete lockdown. Shops and bazaars have not been opened anywhere in the capital. Apart from the only drug store, no other store was seen open on that day. There were no vehicles on the road. Those with special needs who have left their homes have been detained on the streets. People on the streets had to face questions from the police and TSR jawans. No arrests have been reported by police in the capital or suburbs since morning. Police did not have to beat the people as there were no people on the streets. Police claim that the one-day lockdown has been fully implemented.
